Swim Camp

Scotia spent the weekend at swim camp for all the senior swimmers. She loved every minute - couldn’t pick a favorite thing. Workouts, swimming, zip line, rope swing, water slide, talent show, sleeping in cabins, classes on nutrition, diversity and goal setting and early morning yoga.  All the good stuff in life!

ECU Family Weekend

Blythe and I went down to hang with the boys for the day and go to a football game.  We chilled at Taye's place with all his friends and then walked over.

Going Home - Part 3

Scotia, Nana, Jake, Hannah and I squeezed in a quick trip to Lunenburg.  It's a stunning town and Nana grew up in the area (before it was a tourist hotspot).

Going Home - Part 1

I finally made it home after a three year Covid break.  The girls and I dropped Jaxon off at college, visited briefly with Taye then drove home to finish packing and cleaning and were out the door the next morning at 4 am.

College Kid #2

Since basketball season ended Jaxon wrapped up school and has been working tons of hours as a pizza delivery driver. He contributed to room and board for his freshman year and still had lots left over for new clothes and spending money. Early in the summer I started a pile in his room for college essentials - laundry bin, bedding, desk lamp, extension cord, my college kid nightstand . The last week he started sorting through clothes and filled two baskets with stuff he wanted to take.
