Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Football, snack, football, supper, playing new wii game.  Perfect!

Almost here

Scotia has been counting down on this chain for a month and it's almost gone! Woohoo!

Little girls

Scotia got a quick visit with Santa last week. She is very excited about Christmas and curious how Santa will come down our gas powered/no chimney fireplace. The boys had more important things to do than go see Santa - a post swim practice nap and playing with friends. I think 6 might be the perfect Christmas age. This is also a good post to talk about Scotia's fall injuries. For a pretty chill girl she sure can get in a mess. The first was a black eye during fall break. She was riding her new bike on the greenway and lost control, hit a big pole and uggg. Scotia gave the doctor a very animated run down of the crash and he assessed that while her eye might be big and puffy and black she certainly hadn't injured her tongue. The second incident was outside on the road when she was carrying a friend on her back. They crashed and half of Scotia's forehead was left on the road. It is healing and hopefully in a few years it will be as good as new. It's a shame to mess...

Transition

We are employed!  Tyrone has been working as a CRNA for just over a month and we are thrilled.  First things first.   No more studying.  Wohoo!  Second thing.  The transition to work felt painless.  Tyrone is happy to go to work and comes home equally happy.  Still lots to learn of course but overall no big deal.   Yeah!  For the past 16 years we have had nearly constant football/undergrad/grad-school stress to deal with.  And just like that it is gone. Third thing.  We have benefits!  For the first time in over a decade I have dental insurance!  I got my teeth cleaned last week and just handed over my insurance card instead of my credit card.  And I now have health insurance without a $10,000 deductible. We have lived with health insurance chaos since 2004 and I want you to know that it is no small thing to me to be covered well. There are also nice perks like paying for Tyrone's new phone and lots of PAI...

More thanksgiving

( 2009 deja vu )

Thankful

The Ricks came for thanksgiving. How could we be apart? There was lots of running, biking, football playing, shopping, football watching, swimming and eating. Matt made his stuffing and Courtney rocked the rolls so our dinner was divine. My favorite was playing cards with the Fosters late one evening. We ate my secret weapon with homemade eggnog ice cream. We are so spoiled. ( 2009 , 2010 , 2011 )
