Five Brown Kids

We survived :-)

I have an American husband and four American kids and I've lived in the US for longer than I lived in Canada but…. I still cheer for Canada every single time.  My heart belongs to my home country.  And I totally enjoyed rubbing the amazing women's hockey win in all their faces!  Go Canada!

15th in 50 Free 18th in 50 Fly 18th in 100 Back 20th in 200 Free 20th in 100 Free 21st in 50 Back 22nd in 100 Fly 23rd in 100 IM 8th, 4th, 4th in 400 and 200 medley and 200 free relay and 3rd place in the 400 free relay!  That means a medal to wear!  Although it comes with a story.  They were initially DQ'd and then after the parents and coaches reviewed a video and showed it to the judges they reversed the decision.  Lots of tears in-between the initial high of celebrating that third place win and then losing it and then getting it back. After 3rd place win in 400 free relay

6 individual events and 2 relays today. Go Taye! 

This was a surprise trip from Matt and once she knew she was coming she said she had three goals- hold the baby, eat and run. We accomplished all three with gusto.   One sunny day we headed out on the greenway and jogged/walked eight miles! She also did baby duty all day Sunday while I was preparing for a fireside with Brother Gray.  A wonderful weekend. Thanks Matt! 

I heard the announcer say, "If you're Canadian take the day off work. The curling competition starts today!" That made me laugh. Four years ago….   Eight Reasons I Love the Winter Olympics!
