Five Brown Kids

Friday evening Mark and I drove down for Scotia's sorority Parent Party at a local bar/dance club. (No kids) We mostly chatted with Scotia who had lots to catch us up on, met some new friends and took some photos.   The next morning we drove back down for grocery shopping, tailgating and the football game.   Then Mark and I wrapped up the weekend at Blythe's swim meet.  Talk about family weekend. 

Scotia joined a sorority last year, so this year she went to school one week early for "work week" - to prepare for rush.  And then participated in rush and recruiting new girls.  She had a great time, but was super busy every day for two weeks! They had color coded or themed outfits every single day!

Scotia moved into an apartment near campus with a few friends. She planned her room and it turned out lovely.  Tyrone came too and carried up everything (before Blythe and I arrived) and then hung the sconces and put up the curtain rod.  I hope she has a great year!

The kids went to the grandparents house for Father's Day for the annual bake off.  Blythe and Jaxon tied for first and share the new trophy!

 Scotia went to a beach house with a bunch of college friends for spring break.  Then she came up to Fish Camp for the weekend. Then she got invited to join Lauren and her dad on a fishing adventure in Florida.  She caught so many fish! Somehow she wraps up her freshman year in just a few weeks.  She made the most of it!  Such a fun year!

We joined Jaxon and Scotia and her friends for the ECU homecoming game and a tailgate party. I love a little party/food before the game.  Scotia has lovely college friends. 

Scotia lucked out with a like minded roommate and then made friends with her friends and has a group of people now that she loves.  She can be silly all the time now.
