Memory

One of my favorite moments about this stage of kid raising is driving in the car with Scotia - to and from swim practice  or meets. She has great and lively taste in music and I love listening to her curated playlists. Lots of good memories driving along, listening to loud music, windows open….  Even better if Jaxon and Blythe are with us.

A Christmas Carol

Blythe and Tyrone went to see the Christmas Carol at DPAC. Tyrone said it was modernized with an inter-racial couple and plenty of Covid jokes.

Friend vacation

Taye’s best swim friend from high school invited Taye on his pre-Christmas family vacation to Florida. (We used to call Aileen Taye's second mom)  They stayed at a resort and chilled. Taye is a good friend and his friends are good back.

Birthday time

Blythe talked Tyrone into planning a birthday party for school friends at one of those big party places. I’ve avoided those places with all the big kids - preferring smaller home parties with a few close friends.   I didn’t have to do anything but show up so no complaints really.  I loved at the end how all the kids got totally into a game of robot chase in this big cage thing and spent an extra 60 minutes at the end totally contained climbing around - completely focused on their game…

Making memories

High school basketball is in full swing.  The boys are all wearing warm ups with Messiah’s number…. To remember him. #play4messiah

Busy weekend
