Thanksgiving 2017

The Ricks and Cleverly’s gathered again for another memorable Thanksgiving. My parents were here too and made for a super busy and fun week.  My parents got to see Scotia in her play, Annie.  Then we hung out with neighbors for another yummy dinner in the cul de sac. My dad built in cabinets in our garage plus bike and kayak storage. He sharpened knives and fixed broken chairs and hung a swing and built a fence for our garbage cans. Amazing!  We worked out, shopped at Costco and  ate lunch out. Then company showed up and we took the kids jumping at defy gravity. Ate amazing Thanksgiving food. Played lots of ping pong and cards and generally had a really great, really exhausting week.  So much to be thankful for.

Paris Girls Trip

I was so incredibly lucky to spend the first nine days of November hanging with my favorite girls on an epic girls trip to Paris. It was amazing. Paris (and Nice) was even more beautiful than I imagined and exploring and relaxing and eating with my friends everyday was so fun.  Here are my favorite pictures.  Staying in Le Marais the first few days. Notre Dame was so unbelievably beautiful.  How did they know how to build like that 700 years ago? Our friend Ali from Raleigh just moved with her family to Paris in August.  We met her for hot chocolate one evening and serious girls talk. And then joined her family for supper on Sunday eve in her amazing five bedroom flat. Arc de Triomph The afternoon biking around the gardens of Versaille might have been my favorite activity.  Perfect weather, exercise, adventure, sights, friends and nutella crepes. The Eiffel tower was so tall and the elevator ride...
