Busy weekend

I went to see Taye's first swim meet at Old Dominion University.  It was so fun to see him swim at the college level.  He's not the fastest any more but he's close. Definitely in the game.   I loved seeing how much the teammates cheered each other.  So fun. They looked like they were having a great time. Afterwards I got to chat with Taye for a bit, and give him a big hug.  I love getting to see him every few weeks.

Chicago

My longtime best friend Emily moved to Milwaukee with her family this summer.  While she was in the midst of buying and selling and saying goodbye to all her friends Kim and I made plans to visit her in Sept so she would have something to look forward too.

Taye Day

I went to Chicago for the weekend to see Emily so Tyrone took the kids down to ECU Family weekend. This picture of Taye and Blythe makes me tear up. She had been asking me how many more days until she would see Taye...

My first visit to Taye

Taye wanted a bike to get to swim practice faster so I drove down Saturday to deliver one. I brought some storage for the bathroom too and more snacks. I tidied up his room abit (couldn’t help myself) we ate lunch at Panera, grabbed some toilet paper, bath mats and a speaker at target and then I left. He seems happy and content and confident. Three weeks in and he knows his way around...  I loved seeing all his new swim gear too...

Beach weekend

We planned an end of summer beach trip with Tyrone’s parents. They ended up staying home to get ready for their moving truck, Derick and Taye both declined, so it was just the five of us. The house was beautiful. (Here's the link ) The water was warm. Blythe is obsessed with the beach and body surfing... it was a relaxing weekend and I loved spending time with my people.
