Five Brown Kids

Scotia’s favorite swim coach ever made a meme of her and shared it in the senior swim group chat. She was honored but not thrilled… (I mean your own meme!!! but also what a picture???) Reminiscent of this… 

Scotia got to go to her favorite weekend of the whole year... swim leadership camp at Camp Seafarer out on the coast. ( 2022 ) She took the shrimp net to catch fish on the dock every day and made sure to interview all of the kids to make silly tik toks.  She takes her entertainment responsibilities seriously. 

Something clicked this semester and she is playing ball!  Four goals this semester. So fun to watch her! 

A fun volunteer opportunity with swim. Scotia spent her Labor Day weekend visiting a swim friend who just started college near the beach. I heard it was a great, adventurous time!   

At the farmers market yesterday a worker told me that Pink Lady apples are the poor man’s Honey Crisp. Blasphemy!! Pink Ladies are the best apple out there! Honey crisp are too wet and too sweet. Yuck. 

Courtney texted me and asked if I wanted to meet up Labor Day Weekend for the Appaloosa Fest?  Hell, yes!  I've been dying to attend - it's organized by my favorite band - Scythian.  She drove down with two friends and two kids. I drove up with one friend and one kid.  We listened to amazing music!  After the sun set... time for dancing! Slept in tents in a recently used cow field.  The next day/Labor day we floated down the Shenandoah River. Slow going, but perfect temperature for a hot day.  Carleen's big kids came up too for river fun.  Blythe commandeered a paddle board.  So lucky!  What a life.
