Almost summer

Jaxon is home and so nice to play games with Blythe.  Carleen and her girls and Scotia and I went to see Lizzo in concert. Amazing! The kids made me a yummy breakfast for Mother's day and then we  had pizza at the pool in the evening. Lovely kids.  Our garden is growing.  The plants are so happy with Grandpa's amended soil.  Pool is open.  Taye is at college still.  Field Trip with Dad Replacing a bed frame in the extra kids room School fun day Kayking with mom

The Graduate

  What a kid!

The Taye Brown Fan Club

A photo shoot was the perfect way to end the day.

First Little Brown Kid Graduates from College!

T aye graduated last Friday with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.  He is planning to attend an accelerated nursing program next year after he finishes up two classes this summer.  Trying to find Taye in the crowd reminded me that at every graduation now I’ve been looking for my kids and making eye contact and cheering… we are here celebrating you… wouldn’t miss it! Preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school and now college.  Tanner’s  mom and sister came too and spent the day with us. There were definitely moments when Taye was grieving that his friend wasn’t there graduating too…  Last two male ECU swimmers graduating. There is a video of Taye here running down to the end of the pool, stripping down to his underwear and cannon balling into the pool. He could not help himself!  We set up a yummy lunch at Taye’s house and ate food, played corn hole and visited all afternoon.  Tanner’s mom brought this painting of Taye and Tanne...

The Weenies Go Hiking - Part 2

Day 3 we hiked up to Angel's Landing in Zions National Park. It's a typical mountain hike up but then at the top you cross over a narrow piece holding on to chains.  Scary!  Great views.  This was only 1500 hundred feet elevation (Grand Canyon was 5000 feet!) On day four we took an ATV ride on the Coral Sands back to Rock Canyon for some canyoneering.  It was my first time and a little bit scary of course, but I loved it.  Being down in the canyons is just so beautiful! Cheryl and Courtney are amazing. So hard working and brave and fun!  I love hanging out with them.  Made it home with a day to get some work done and get ready for Taye's college graduation!
