Your own private island

Hey everyone! There is a entire island for sale just a few miles from my hometown. Anyone interested? It's selling for $3.5 million dollars - almost a 1000 acres of wooded island, with a beautiful beach. Just minutes from a quaint little fishing village and about 20 minutes from my town with a hospital and grocery stores. Check it out! Port Mouton Island, Nova Scotia (I do think the comparison to the Carribean is a little much, doesn't matter how you word it, it will still be cold!)

Eleven years

Today is our 11 year anniversary. Wow! We've survived some big disappointments and lots of great successes in the past decade. Three children, four cars, nine years of school (between us), four apartments/houses and no pets later I have learned the following: While we disagree on most everything, whether waffles should be made of white or wheat flour, how much is really reasonable to spend on Gatorade every month, what radio station should be playing in the car etc. etc. we do have four things that we agree on all the time - 1. We are active in our church, and faithful to our God. All the time, everywhere, unchanged for the past eleven years. 2. Everyone in our house needs lots of exercise. I make time for Tyrone to play ball, he watches kids so I can run. And our kids swim, and bike and play at the park and run laps at the gym. We are always on the go. 3. We like our house and yard to be neat and tidy and attractive, no matter how modest our home. This year our grass is pretty...

Kid Olympics at Marbles

If you live in Raleigh you've got to go check out the kid olympics at Marbles kids museum (new and improved Playspace ) They have a new exhibit with hands on high jump, long jump, balance beam, hockey, javelin, table tennis, floor kayaking etc. My kids have been twice to this exhibit in the past two weeks and can't get enough. Thanks to my Uncle Mike whose Christmas gift for the kids helped with our year long membership! Hoop and balance beam all at once. ( Taye's at camp this week, this is our neighbour with Jaxon ) She's so cute! Socks make the perfect skates on this cool rink. Who won the gold?

Happy Birthday Mom!

Mom/Nana, Thanks for spending your years in service to us. You've helped make our lives wonderful! Enjoy your day! Debbie, Pete and Jessie - Feb 76 Mom and Jessie - Summer 76 Nana and Scotia - Oct 2006

Thanks Dad!

Here are the handsome little nightstands Dad built for my master bedroom. He hauled them all the way down here from NS. Just yesterday we finished painting them the proper shade of red. I love them! Just what I saw in that dangerous PB catalog. This is my side, closest to the computer :-) And his side.
